Shelby Carter saved her newborn daughter after their Illinois home caught fire, and in doing so giving the ultimate sacrifice. Carter strapped the baby to a car seat, and through her out of the window to get her away from the flames. Carter unfortunately was found dead by firefighters later in the investigation.
